This truck contains all our possessions, but I care about these two folks in the perifery the very most of all.
On the road...
Pit stop #1 (of many)... you can see we are all a little happier after a potty break, snack and some fresh air. This overpass provided some nice shade for us to hang out in.
I thought the drive was so neat - it was a beautiful sampling of a few states that I've seen little or nothing of. Bel was always happy to be out of her carseat and got excited about all the pit stops even just to...
or to take in the vast expanses of Wyoming sagebrush...
Wyoming has so many long flat plains - these snow drift fences stretch for miles and miles and it really makes for quite the sight.
The Nebraska plateaus are covered with windfarms. Each windmill is so gigantic up close

and let's not forget the cornfields...and the acres of soybeans.
Another big smile for a pit stop in the corn fields
But still miles to go before we sleep.

That was such a fun trip!! Thanks for letting us share it with you:) I would not want to do it as often as those truckers but I am looking forward to the day when we get to drive that truck full of your stuff back to UTAH?? (What do you think) Thanks for the memories Mom & Dad
It was fun to see all of those pictures! Bel looks like she was a good baby for the trip. Miss you guys!
Oh... I know that trip well. The fields of corn and soybeans are gorgeous in the summer, aren't they? Bel is such a cutie and just seems super happy - good job mommy.
I know what you mean about the windmills being huge. Occasionally we'll see ONE of the pieces on the interstate headed from Texas up north. They are longer than those HUGE, extra-long flat bed trailers on 18 wheelers! It's so weird, because the windmill doesn't look that big from the highway when it's all put together.
Bel is such a cutie! Seems as though she got her parents good attitude. I miss seeing you everyday, but am happy you are doing so well on your new adventure!
Hey,
Even though the comment is addressed as being said by "Ned", it was Mom. I want you to know that I too look forward everyday to new posting on your blog and how cute your pictures are. I remember when we teased Megan about Technology but it sure is nice to see fresh pictures from the comfort of my chair. We miss you all and look forward to seeiing you when you come home for Christmas. Until then, this will have to do. Give that baby a big hug from us. Grandpa Ned
Wow, long trip eh? That girl is so beautiful-good looking parents I guess. We miss you!
Oh my!! I hate to say that I am glad the boys and I weren't driving with Travis! I don't do well with car trips...you guys look so cute at each pit stop. I would have looked like I had been run over by a bus. I can't tell you how fun it was to have you stay with us that night on your way! You guys are the BEST!
welcome to the midwest, sista!!! I'm so glad you can appreciate the unconventional beauty of that whole trek. There really is so much to love out here, although my very favorite part of living here is now that my sister is within reach! YAY!!!!!
Man, that looks like one exciting drive! I'm glad it was you and not me. But I'm glad you stopped in Bear Lake to see me on your way through!
I love looking at and imagining this drive - you guys can make anything fun. I just have to say three cheers for the perfect Miller parents who made the truck get there with all the stuff. You guys are the best! Karen
