wow - it's my husband, sharing his skating skills with the locals (they were impressed - five kids on separate occasions all said, "you're not from Kirksville are you"). As promised, a little bit of Ryan testing out the new half pipe.

I must admit that watching this made me a little teary.....I haven't seen Ryan on a half pipe since the one in our backyard ages ago. I worshiped him when we were younger and remember wishing I could skateboard like him someday! Although I no longer have a desire to skateboard....I still look up to him more than he will ever know.
Haha! I read Mandy's post and started laughing. I remember that backyard "skate park" too! I think Anita told me one time that she remembers me sitting in a kid sized lawn chair with my purse and sunglasses just watching ryan on the half pipe.
It was always nice to have such an awesome brother who would let us tag a long! Thanks Ryan!

Wow this brings back such great memories!! If I close my eyes I can see Ryan skating in our back yard... when he was 10 yrs old. And yes I also remember the little lawn chairs on the top where all the neighbor kids sat and watched. We even had teenagers drive by & stop & ask if they could skate. What fun memories, Ryan enjoy each and everyday because they fly by way to fast!! BE CAREFUL and make sure you are wearing a helmet and knee pads. kisses and hugs
