that night ryan went to help - when he came home we made our emergency "where do we go / what do we do in case of a tornado" plan, the next day we got renter's insurance.
Considering the force and the damage, our town is pretty lucky and everyone has really reached out to help and support those in need. It's these kind of situations that make me realize what is really important and how blessed I am.

We are so glad that you are all ok!!! But our heart goes out to those who were not as lucky. Glad you got insurance now do you know where your 72 hour kits are? Love you MOM
I had no idea! Isn't it scary? This time of year is crazy in the midwest. In February, we had some crazy ones come way too close for comfort.
I'm glad you're okay!
Whew!!! As usual Kathy K called about the tornado she was watching on CNN - just like the riots in Santiago and the earthquake in El Salvador - you'd think disasters follow my children! Those tornados, and their random touch downs are really freaky. I am sorry for Kirksville, but so glad you are OK. So where is the safe place??? Will you go to the garage? Do you have a siren in town?
ps you and Ryan are the best parents on the planet too
I was thinking of you guys. So glad you're ok! I was terrified of the Tornoados when we were in IA. Everyone says they want to see one, but not me. Stay safe!
If you don't have a basement in a tornado - then you get in a closet with no outside walls or the bathroom is usually a good place - so it's closet bound for us when the sirens go off next time
CRAZY! You guys be careful!
