a true friend

It's been quite some time now that Bel and I have been best friends. We do everything together - we work and play, tease and laugh, sing and dance, make and eat treats, toot in front of each other and laugh, we have our tiffs and our moments, we have endless conversation and just when I thought we couldn't be any closer she did something that got her upgraded to true friend.

The other day we were playing at the pool and I was smiling right in her face and she laughed right back at me, grabbed my face and started sticking her fingers in my teeth. "mommy" she said laughing, "salt. you have salt in you teeth" (She mixes up salt and pepper) I had a black piece of pepper in my teeth from lunch. I've always said a true friend will tell you when you have junk in your teeth. Well now I can count on Bel for that too.

Thank goodness for an observant little daughter...... it would be awful if you were to have something marring that beautiful smile. (I want one of those hugs!

Love this picture. Bel is a doll, it is so great to have so many best friends when you marry and have kids. I visited with your Dad again a few days ago and I was jealous that he got to see you. I can't believe how big Jack is getting, he is such a cute little thing.

Bel is the sweetest little girl ever! I miss her so much! I am glad to know my smile is safe around her. Sometimes David doesn't even say anything... but he claims to "not notice" Which sometimes I believe.

Once my bishop said... "I like my wife to notice my facial mishaps.... but she doesn't need to use a microscope!"

I can't get over how cute she is! Every girl we see around her age Benton starts yelling "Bel Bel" and I have to tell him that it isn't her, which breaks his heart every time! Can't wait to see you guys!

I am envisioning some really really rockin' mother daughter activities in a few (20?) years...alright hopefully sooner than that but I hope our daughters will be friends and we can all go out for salads and long chats and inspect each others teeth together!
