here we go again

for the past 6 months I've been living off of 1-4 hour chunks of sleep and it's been a while now that every morning I wake up and I'm just plain tired - day after day after day...

... and that's exactly the kind of motivation that I need - tonight is the night that jack's sleep training begins. wish me luck and sweet dreams!

Just remember, even if he bangs his head on the crib and vomits, don't give in!! (just kidding, do, and everybody who reads this comment just know that is a direct quote from a parenting book, NOT actual big sisterly advice). And in all actuality I DO wish you luck, and more than 4 consecutive hours of sleep.

Okay Christine! Keep me totally updated on the sleep training, highs and lows. I think I've tried to train Finn 4 different times on sleep and I still don't feel like he's trained! I have high hopes for my next one in terms of doing it better. Let us know what works!! Sleep... that word holds almost a sense of reverence now having gone through the lack of

Call me for moral support...some ideas that help me: sing to him from your bed, if you must go to him just lay on the floor by him. I am SO sorry you are tired. That's the pits! Good luck!

I though of you this morning.... Any luck? I wanna hear.... maybe just morning texts would be lovely! Just kidding. Hope all is working in your favor! (and Jack's too... cause whether he realizes it or not, he'll eventually LOVE sleeping through the night- even if that is at 16 years old that he finally appreciates it)

Abby's comment made me laugh out loud...partly because I read that book and remember thinking "seriously did they just write that?" Good luck! You can do it! Just don't fold..I did with Carter and he sleeps like crap, I didn't with Benton and he is a champ at sleeping...just not sleeping in! Let us know how it goes!

Good luck, Geene! Sometimes you have to be a little mean, and I think that's ok when it comes to sleep :) If all else fails, buy lots of chocolate to get you through the days!

Henry slept through the night at 12 weeks...I was proud. But ever since we moved, he doesn't...I'm on the 3-5 hour sleep stretch and this weekend we are going to try to help our pour little Henry (and mom) sleep through the night.

...good luck to you....good luck to us!
